Healthy eating

A healthy eating is vital for a healthy living. If we eat unhealthy then we will both look and feel unhealthy. Some people think having a healthy eating lifestyle is very hard, but that is just a myth. Everything is in our minds! If we decide to adopt a healthy lifestyle we can do it! We just need three main things so get started with it:

  1. Prepare ourselves psychologically
  2. Feel motivated
  3. Setup goals (for example, loosing some pounds, eating better for a healthier heart…)

Here I would like to present you some of the main characteristics that healthy foods should include:

  1. Be an outstanding source of fiber, vitamins, minerals and other important nutrients
  2. Be high in phytonutrients and antioxidant compounds, like vitamins A and E and beta carotene
  3. May help reduce the risk of heart disease and other health conditions
  4. Be low in calorie concentration, which means that you get a larger portion size with a fewer number of calories on them
  5. Be easy to obtain

You may have heard about soy foods somewhere, as well as comments about soy preventing diseases such as cancer and heart disease. Whole soy foods are a great source of protein and hold other nutrients, such as fiber, B vitamins, and omega-3 fatty acids. Another good option for healthy eating are the foods that contain soy protein are also a healthy choice for meats and other animal products that are full of cholesterol and saturated fat.
